As you may know, Skipper hasn't been in great shape. She's been having trouble getting up and down the stairs. A couple times we've had to go out and rescue her. She'll get half way up or down and start whimpering. Kevin was ready to put her down and made an appointment for Monday at 4:30. On Sunday I told him I wasn't quite ready for this. He asked what I planned on doing. I said, "Make a ramp". I was met with silence.
I figured I had until 4:30 on Monday to get that ramp built. I emailed Cecilia my plans and she said if I was going to build a ramp, she would be over to help me. Later on Sunday night Kevin says, "Well, if you are going to build a ramp, you are going to have to cancel the appointment for tomorrow". He also gave me some ideas on how to build it so I knew he was on board with it and that I could actually spend some money to build it.
True to her word, Cecilia showed up around 7:30 in the morning with a nail gun and compound mitre saw. We went to Body Pump, then to Lowe's to pick up our supplies. By 3:15 we had constructed the ramp. Not to mention that it was snowing on and off most of the day. Needless to say, we are pretty damn pleased with ourselves.
Now comes the problem of convincing Skipper that this is a good thing.....
